- Create a free account from the Sign Up link in the header. Buyer accounts are open — no verification needed to browse, message exporters, or request paid samples.
- How do I register as a seller?
- Sign up as a seller and submit your Sri Lankan business registration, export licence, and product certificates. Our team reviews the documents by hand before your storefront goes live.
- How does verification actually work?
- We check registration and licence numbers against the issuing bodies, and confirm certificates (organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade) with the issuing scheme. Nothing is self-declared.
- How do inquiries and sample requests work?
- Every product listing has an inquiry button. Message the exporter directly with your specs and quantity, agree a sample cost and courier fee in the thread, and the sample ships from Colombo — usually 3–7 working days.
- Does CeylonTrade handle payments?
- No. CeylonTrade does not currently process payments, hold escrow, issue invoices, or book freight. Every deal — pricing, terms, payment method, shipping — is arranged directly between the buyer and the exporter.
- So what does CeylonTrade actually do?
- We verify the seller, host the storefront and listings, and give you a message thread with the producer. From there it's a direct commercial relationship — no broker, no rebrander, no markup.
