Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to every user of Serendib Trade and to all content, listings, messages and files submitted to the Platform.

2. Prohibited content and goods

• Goods that are illegal to produce, sell, export or import in the relevant jurisdictions
• Counterfeit goods or goods infringing another party's intellectual property
• Restricted or controlled goods listed without the required authorisations
• Misrepresented grades, origins, certifications or test results

3. Prohibited conduct

• Fraud, deception or advance-fee schemes
• Impersonation of another business, person or of Serendib Trade
• Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging or misuse of contact details obtained on the Platform
• Harassment, threats, hate speech or discriminatory conduct

4. Technical abuse

• Scraping, crawling or bulk data extraction without written permission
• Attempting to bypass authentication, permissions, rate limits or row-level security
• Uploading malware, or probing, scanning or testing the Platform without authorisation
• Abusing AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive or harmful content

5. Reporting and enforcement

Suspected breaches can be reported through the Platform. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or terminate access, and may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

6. Changes

New versions are published here with a version number and effective date.
