Marketplace Rules
How buyers and exporters are expected to behave on Serendib Trade.

1. Purpose
These Marketplace Rules keep Serendib Trade useful and trustworthy for genuine buyers and Sri Lankan exporters.
2. Be who you say you are
Register with real business details. One account per business unless we agree otherwise. Do not impersonate another business or person.
3. Listing standards
Listings must describe real, available goods with accurate grades, specifications and origin. No duplicate listings for the same product. Images must be your own or licensed.
4. Inquiry standards
Inquiries should describe a genuine sourcing need. Do not use inquiries to send marketing, recruitment or unrelated offers.
5. Communication standards
Keep communication professional. Harassment, discriminatory language and abusive behaviour are not permitted.
6. Off-platform conduct
You may transact off-platform, but you may not use the Platform to solicit users into schemes, fraud, or arrangements that misrepresent the goods.
7. Verification integrity
Do not submit falsified documents or misrepresent verification status. Verification badges reflect our review only and are not a guarantee.
8. Content and data
Do not scrape, bulk-extract or resell Platform data. Do not upload unlawful content.
9. Reporting
Report suspected breaches using the reporting tools on listings and profiles, or through the contact channels published on the Platform.
10. Enforcement
Breaches may lead to content removal, loss of verification status, suspension or termination, depending on severity.
